Bears for Usborne Publishing. Apparently they went all the way to the Frankfurt Fair.

Funny Lice
I did an illustration for the July issue of Revista Saúde about a new treatment for lice. When the designer first offered me the assignment, I asked her if I could draw a funny lice, because lice are so disgusting that they at least have to be funny (that's what I think). I'm happy to say she said yes to that, and once again I felt so grateful for being an illustrator, doing something that I honestly love and that allows me to have this kind of amusing professional conversation! I don't have the image of the magazine page but here it goes:

Ask Magazine
Here's an illustration I did for Ask Magazine, an art and science
magazine for kids from Cricket Publishing Group. Interesting magazine,
with lots of cool articles and illustrations. I had to draw a diagram
showing the layers of construction that a green roof requires for an
article about green roofs and living walls ( I love these names).
Hopefully in a not so distant future we will have much more buildings
carrying those oasis that can provide lots of benefits to people and
urban wildlife alike. We will live in city jungles!

New promo mailer
Got inspired by my swimming dreams, where I just swim outside the water seeing everything from above. Already started sending those to my clients and potential clients.

Québec en Clichés
Here's a catalog the Association of Illustrators from Quebec produced this year to share the work of some of its members. The theme was the clichés people often associate with Quebec. Mine was "skidoo", which is a mix between a sled and a jet ski, created here to help Quebeckers face all the snow we have here. Take a look at a pdf for the entire book. Also, this book was directed for the children's publishing market.
And those are different clichés from other illustrators that I like a lot:
Raton Laveur by Christine Battuz
Ruelle by Josée Bisaillon
Ours Polaire by Annick Gaudreault

Chita Collection
Inspired by a kind of traditional fabric of Brazil called chita or chitão. Chita is a part of our cultural identity, and I love the bold mix of colors and flowers.

João Ganhão
Here's a book I illustrated and designed for a Brazilian publishing house called Fino Traço Editora. The book was written by Maurilo Andreas and tells the story of a little boy who has serious angry management issues until he falls in love and everything changes. Love is the answer ♥

The Art and Business of Surface Pattern Design graduate!
Now I'm a graduate from ABSPD. It was of great value for me, both creatively and also concerning the business side of being a pattern designer. One of the best things of doing this e-course is connecting with a lot of designers and share information, thoughts, feelings and so on. We now have a very supportive group that is constantly in touch. Below I would like to share one of my patterns and also the work of some of my fellow designers. Now it's time to go for it!
That's mine!
