Another collection for the pattern surface design course I'm following.  

Home Sweet Home Licensing Collection

Here's  a licensing collection I created. I felt like drawing the things that make my apartment my home, that make me feel comfortable and safe. I don't have a cat, but since I love them a lot, I decided to draw cats anyway, because I will definitely have some in the future. This collection is available for licensing. I would also be interested in being represented by a licensing agent.

And since I'm talking about licensing, I have some news. Next week I will start to virtually attend a surface design course, with surface pattern designer Rachael Taylor. I never did an e-course before, but I think I will like the flexibility of  it. I hope to learn a lot about the business and the making of patterns. Crazy faces

Here's another activity I did with the children at the daycare. This is what I gave them:

 

 

So, they had to color, cut and assemble the face. The result was even more funny and crazy then what I had imagined! Take a look at what they did:

 

I love how they colored each tooth with a different color. And also the position of the ears. It looks kind of bizarre overall...but I like it a lot!

Activity with the kids

This month I had the opportunity to create and apply an art activity with a group of children from 4 to 5 years old. That's what I did:

So, they had to complete the drawing, color, cut and then assemble the flower. As I expected they did a great job! Children have an unexpected and imaginative way of looking at things that adults can't anticipate. This activity will be a part of a bigger project I'm working on. I found out that it makes me really happy to be a part of the creative process and to work side by side with children as an illustrator and as an educator. It's one of those moments in your life when something clicks inside your head and life starts to make more sense, if you know what I mean...but anyway here's what they did:

 I love how they assembled the parts differently, mixing leaves and petals and using unexpected colors. I will post some more of this activities I'm working on.
